U.S. History 9 is the second half of the survey course started in 8th grade. We start after the Civil War & Reconstruction have ended, and continue up to the present day. Along the way we will cover the American Industrial Revolution & the Gilded Age; World War I, the Roaring 20's and the Great Depression; World War II; the Cold War; and the changes of the 1960's and 70's among other topics. Throughout the course, we will also look at the role and treatment of both African Americans and women in American society.
As the year progresses, we will develop and practice the critical thinking and analysis skills that are required of modern historians.
